A.E. „Dusty“ Durrant
South African Railways class 15F 4-8-2 locomotive No. 3144 - at the head of a mixed freight train passing through Alicedalepoort Cape – 14th December 1968. Built by the North British Locomotive Company under Hyde Park, Glasgow works number 26028/1948, it had been later provided with a steam-operated smoke cowl, to aid operation through unventilated tunnels on the Cape Midland route.
